I think Laporte and Dias will be great together. They’re all playing for each other. No one is capable of playing all these games, it makes perfect sense to rotate players.
Torres and Gabby really need to perform today.

Also Stones has notoriously not been able to stay fit enough to get a run in the side in recent years. There’s an element of not wanting to push our luck with his body too that I think needs to be considered. How long do we want to blindly hope he can play twice per week before we consider resting him. An injury would inevitably have happened.

I’m assuming it’s as simple as Stones is out best defender in the air, and we have Burnley in the week. No coincidence Rodri is rested too.
I agree regards his fitness too. His form is no surprise to me, every time he’s had a good run, he’s looked classy.

Not sure what people expect, of course we’ve got to pick and choose different players to start different games otherwise we’re fucked when one of our ‘stronger’ players gets injured and is replaced by someone who hasn’t had a game in months. Happy with the team and hopefully those who’ve come in can be just as impressive

We saw what happened at Cheltenham with a load of changes but I guess at least these are experienced pros. Sometimes it all clicks and we are flowing, then he changes it and we lose our rhythm again. I hope we win 6-0 and I wonder what I was worryingly about.

We could have come unstuck at Cheltenham such were the changes, especially to rookies Doyle an THB thrown in at the deep end and not their natural positions of DCM and CB they're familiar with. However, we got away from Cheltenham's wake up call and galloped home convincingly in the end.

I think we can allow 2-3 changes per game at the moment to keep the side's balance team spirit and momentum going nicely.

Dias is the first name I want to see on the team sheet right now for obvious reasons.
