Great shout Murph, we'll be up for this nowTonight has just made Pep's team talk and planning easy. If anyone around the squad was complacent about this fixture, they won't be now.

Means nothing in the scheme of things Dax Sheff Utd had 6 first teamers unavailable and we saw likewise against a second string Norwich last season unexpected results happen that on reflection are not so.Happy United lost. At least that should let us know it's possible to drop points against them. But lord this Sheffield team is the least talented group I've ever scene.
Normally, these teams have one or 2 guys who are uniquely skilled but flawed. They had none. All hardworkers no flair.
A different kind of problem I suppose.
Let them worry about us, we turn up we win, end of story.Hopefully last night will have taken it out of them, and they'll have an eye on the West Brom game on Tuesday. Not a lot of recovery time for them between games.
99% of the time you're right but anything can happen in football and we must take our chances.Let them worry about us, we turn up we win, end of story.
I wasn't doubting they could get a result against us. I just was lamenting the absence of brilliance. To not see anyone I thought was worth mentioning. :(Means nothing in the scheme of things Dax Sheff Utd had 6 first teamers unavailable and we saw likewise against a second string Norwich last season unexpected results happen that on reflection are not so.
Manure have won only 4 from their first 10 homes games and if that continues without their away record continuing they are mid table finishers.
included in that were extremely fortunate last minute home wins against Wolves and C Palace.
Sheff Utd have 16 games yet have a 21 goal differential , they are nowhere near as bad as their results have shown.
Conceding first and still winning has to catch up with you eventually it doesn't happen too often least of 6 times away from home in your first ten games.
We are in good nick but Sheff Utd can beat anybody and our run will come to an end sometime this season its how you bounce back from a poor result that matters most.
Hopefully our poorer outcomes were cut and dried in the first 13 games of the season.
Goodness I remember that Bolton game. My son who was then 15, went absolutely spare when Bolton scored, partly/mostly because he was being heavily outumbered by Bolton fans in his class/school. Never heard him swear so much before or since.99% of the time you're right but anything can happen in football and we must take our chances.
I remember when we played Bolton at home in 2005 and we hit the woodwork 5 times and Bolton hardly had a sniff on goal. We were rampant all game but couldn't hit the net. Dunne handballed giving them a pen in the dying minutes and it ended 0-1.
"Funny old game", as Greavesy once said.
Me too pal and a good reminder that we cannot take our opposition for granted. Cheltenham being the most recent example of a banana skin we could have tripped up on. But that game against Bolton is etched in my memory. I can't remember any other game that we were as dominant and ended up losing the game. I came out of the stadium shaking my head in total disbelief.Goodness I remember that Bolton game. Awful memories but such an exciting game Bill. And Dunny monster made quite a lot of costly howlers, still loved him though. Not too many teams could fall in a rosebed and come out stinking of shite, but we could and did regularly for many years, hence being tagged with 'Typical City'.Thanks for posting - but it brought back awful memories. Never seen anything like it before it since. How on earth we lost that game I will never know. I remember thinking at the time that only Dunninho would give away a pen like that in the final moments of the game. Either that or an own goal, of course.
Wasn't there a similar story involving sun jihai and Middlesbrough?Goodness I remember that Bolton game.
