Good team , not surprised Walker gets a game agaisnt his former club , Laporte for Stones is hardly a down grade both are brilliant defenders , cant see Jesus getting much change from their giant centre backs but hope he proves me wrong if anyone needs another goals its jesus, Torres deserves a start he's been patient after injury / COVID etc. We are going to smash them 1-0
 
Such heavy rotation is a surprise at the least the front 3 is young, full of energy and creativity.
 
I’m not entirely sure resting Stones will prove a good idea. Laporte can be very soft, as shown against Cheltenham. Sheffield United will come at us physically today, I just hope Laporte has had his Weetabix.
 
Laporte isn't a downgrade from Stones and should keep him up to match fitness, the beauty of our squad compared to others is quality match for replacements in most positions most of the time.
Be surprised if we don't keep a clean sheet again.

Always funny when people lose their heads over rotation, despite being fully aware that we play every 3/4 days for the entire season. Nobody is saying the game is easy but if you are a top team and don’t rotate at home to bottom of the league then it’s almost negligent. You have to. Not 11 changes, but at least some are simply essential. It’s a good team selection considering our circumstances and what we have looming in the horizon.

Thankfully, our lads have all had a warning from SheffU’s trip to the Swamp the other night.

If they’re not ready for a tough game today, they aren’t for this club!
 
I’m not a fan of the rotation of CBs but ok, fair enough. It’s not like Laporte is a duffer.

Cancelo being rotated is the bigger disappointment for me. Against a side that will barely get out of their own half, I would much prefer having a guy playing RB who offers us something with the ball. I fear watching Walker and Zinchenko passing it to Dias and Laporte all game will be a tough watch.
 
Surprised at no Cancelo, we look so much better with him in the team. We know they are going to sit with everyone back so it seems a perfect game for him

They may come at us physically but without the ball that doesn't count for much.
