Fair points.What can they do? The owner is being an arse, but the EFL are powerless unless he's breaking the law. He might be breaking EFL rules of course, but any action taken would be against the club rather than against the owner. They can't force him to sell even if he's placing them in a position that means they can't field a side of first-team players.
Businesses are run into the ground but should a business which doesn't have real alternatives be treated as just another business?
