Sheffield Wednesday thread

David Hirst, what a player then.

Pace, power good with his left foot, good with his right foot and good in the air.

Injuries started to take it's toll if you look at this game Bould & Adams both did a number on him which i think left him on the sidelines for a while. Slippery slope

"The king is dead, long live the king"

Expect more players to go before the end of the window, with very little in the line of replacements.

But administration is not meant to be a barrel of laughs.

Desperate situation at Wednesday wish we would send our players out to them rather than the pigs at Bramall Lane
Just gone 9 league games without scoring new club record ffs

Never mind 25 League Games since our last win, we are also now 9 League Games without a goal (10 altogether if you include 3rd round of the FA Cup)

Another player (Yan Valery) is due to leave on loan to Young Boys (I presume their Transfer Window is still open), from his point of view I get it. Tunisian international and a World Cup year.

Our 4 midfielders yesterday were 19, 20, 20, 22, the scoreline is what I expected in most games this season so to get to Feb before we got beat 4-0 is something (bar Coventry who battered is 5-0 in October)

Fans are starting to turn on the manager as he sets us up quite conservatively, but for me the squad would struggle in League 1, I'm not sure what a brimstone & fire manager would get out of them more.

31 games down, 15 to go.

It's tough - we know. You'll be back pal. Sleeping giant and all that. Deep breath and support the lads on the pitch - not their fault - especially the young ones.
Strap in and enjoy the ride if you can. You will love the refs in that league. They make premier league refs look competent!

Tbf it's be the 4th time in 25 years we've dipped into the 3rd Tier so the novelty has kind of warn off :)

Although if we've not reached the bottom yet, League 2 could be a new experience!!!

Leave that record to Martin Peters Red and White Army although to be fair it was also a credit to “Harry Haslams Fucked it up Again” lol

Oh god, just seen that Wednesday can be relegated this weekend if they dont win. And they play Sheff Utd. We know that football can be a cruel game at times but that seems particularly brutal!
Would need a West Brom win against Coventry and a Blackburn draw or win against Preston I think, so probably a bit unlikely.

They are 41 points from safety, with 14 games left, drop points this weekend and they are down
