Sheffield Wednesday

It was the same day as the infamous Everton-Wimbledon match where Hans Segers "flopped", so to speak, and Sheff Utd were relegated as a result - big celebrations among the Wednesday fans.
And Barry Horne scored from 35 yards out...
Fashanu declared himself unfit to play, but sat suited and booted on the Dons bench, observing proceedings very very carefully...

"Meat Pie, Danny Rohl, come on Wednesday score a goal"

Good luck Danny, you'll need it!

Expecting the press conference to be carnage and sabotaged by Chancer after local press throw him a few hand grenades, them him ranting for the next hour about Leighton Palmer (Carlton) and the fans for continually being bad customers.

Best of luck to him, and you, WYO; I think you’re going to need it.

However, it’s still relatively early in the season, and if he can put together a good run of results, who knows?

Just see the job that Carrick did at 'Boro last term. Admittedly, he didn’t start from such a lowly position as you find yourselves, but if Rohl can emulate Hassenhuttl's achievements at Southampton, he will have a decent career.

My worry is we have nothing up top, it was ok last year having older strikers but this season a 35 & 32 year old won't cut it.

I could see young Bailey Cademateri (son of Danny) getting some game time as he's been playing well for the U21's

All eyes on Watford away...

I know the new management team haven't had long but be interesting if there is a marked improvement tomorrow, not sure it could be any worse tbh (famous last words, of course it can be worse :)
Get a point on the board there...and then new boss walks out at a fired up Hillsborough.....

All the best to him and Wednesday. Chris Powell is a cracking appointment as assistant.

I thought they'd be able to consolidate on their return to the championship. But they've had a horrible start to the season. Yes; it's early, but already 11 points from safety is not good.
We're down m8

There's no way we can turn this around, we used up all our Roy of the Rovers scripts last season.

It's all on one person too.

If Darren Moore had stayed we could have added the quality we needed to at least make us have a go, we wouldn't be Ipswich as they bought quality in January not for League 1 but the Championship, but we'd be far better than we are now.

We beat Newcastle (albeit their 2nd team with a sprinkling of 1st team players) and took a similair Southampton side to pens in the cups last season, but instead Chancer ripped it all up and decided he knows best (or his advisor does) and this is why we are here.

He wouldn't pay Moore & his team what they asked for but he's already had to pay one failed management team off and employ another, what has that cost him?

Be interesting to know if the Embargo is a result of him not putting any more money in as he stated earlier this month, or he's run out of cash and the family Tuna Kings have said that he's not getting anymore.

We could end the season on - points :)

We could and should have been 4-0 up at HT that's how bad Rotherham were, we weren't exactly Brazil 70 but they were terrible.

After 5 games without one I was happy with a goal :)
