Sheikh Mansour

Lets just ask what would happen if he had transferred some of those shares into City. In a subsidiary company I am sure I have seen a registered company

platinisuckonthisyoufrenchcunt ltd

He actually got his original stake back last year and cashed out a £3bn profit at the time.

The 7 per cent left in was also very shrewd, as Barclays also guaranteed him a minimum share price.

In all, he has made around £5.2billion on the £3.5billion he originally invested.

Not a bad return...60% profit on Three thousand five hundred million pounds in around five years.

Beats standing on Grey Mare Lane market in winter selling soap powder.....:-)

Ha-Har! I applaud you for sticking to the English (and correct) usage of the word billion, despite them being equated in the 70s (I think) to the US definition. Good man.

Still, you dont get that rich without being as tight as a camels arse in a sandstorm. Bet he is always last in the round in the pub and sneaks off about midnight, stingey fucker

"In other news, a United player will be getting an unwelcome knock at the door this weekend.

You'll understand when you see it."

Has this happened yet?

So that's about 1.5 times his original investment in about five years.

As you say, Tolmie, a very shrewd businessman.

There is discussion about something that may or may not be this on the United thread.

Sheikh Mansour will make a profit on Manchester City. He sees us as an investment.
I think Manchester City Football Club are an advertising campaign for his name and businesses. Advertising costs money, which the City project is doing, but he will make money back many times over with his name and all his other businesses gaining popularity on the back of City's growth.

He will not make much money at all directly through City.

he will in time. we will have the success and the prize money and tv money that goes with that but with players from the youth. no need for big transfer fees.
