Rogers is too good a manager to go to Villa. I don't see why he would go there.
Now that really is a wind up merchant post isn't it?? Rogers isn't even good enough to manage a Sunday League team never mind Aston Villa. No team deserves Rogers actually!

I know people on here hate the man. Posts like this can't really be taken seriously though when you look and see that he done a decent job at Swansea and the dippers.
Villa are lower than his level.

You said he should aim for Europa league sized club, but there isnt one in this country if Villa are too low for him. He failed at Liverpool, i dont think he did a decent job at all, so he'd be very lucky to land a job at a club at equivalent size. Also Villa are a bigger club than Southampton who are currently in the Europa League, I think they are a similar size to Spurs. They get bigger crowds than most of the top half, they were recently consistently in the Europa league under O'Neill (when Southampton were in the lower leagues), they have won the European cup. Just because of their current position, it doesnt make them small, far from it. That short term attitude is what the rags used to adopt to always take the piss out of City with when we were in the third tier, we were still a big club with lots of potential, if not massive as they used to take the piss about. Villa have potential if the right person goes in and does a good job.

I think they will go down. They have played no one really yet and have just 4 points and there next few fixtures are brutal. They will finish bottom and average 27,000 next season.

Europa league is a top half of the table club. Villa are not that. They are a relegation battling club. Not hard to tell the difference.

Top half is not Europa league by any stretch, top half is top half, Europa is the top 5 or 6 clubs. League table is a temporary position, you need to look at the bigger picture and longer term, even using your 10 club criteria there arent 10 clubs bigger than Villa in England. Are Leicester a bigger club than Chelsea just because they happen to be 5th and Chelsea are 15th? Or Bournemouth a bigger club than Leeds because they are the division above them? Or Grimsby were a bigger club than us in 1999 because they were in the division above us?
Rogers would be lucky to manage Villa.

Leicester have much more upside than Villa do at the moment. I'd say they are a bigger club than Villa. Better squad, better attendances, play better football.
