Got shingles on my 65th birthday, the day we fooked up at Real Madrid.

I had it some years ago. Relief from ointment and pain killers, but no cure available. It is a version of herpes. Avoid sex, alcohol and any form of pleasure. Watching England just makes it worse.

Didn’t realise there was an inoculation, read about it somewhere, booked an appointment, booster due in December……all good

Just been watch Mortimer &Whitehouse go fishing and they were talking about shingles.

For about 6 months now my right thigh has felt numb'ish it's an odd feeling. Anyway if I stand around after around a minute or two the pain gets really bad. Today I could hardly walk the burning, shooting pain and numbness was bad. Most of the pain goes with in minutes if I sit down. I can been OK for another minutes than it starts again.

I have no signs of anything wrong with my thigh, just pain from my hip to my knee.

Anyone else have this ?
I'll get in touch with the doctor tomorrow

I think Shingles usually comes with a rash.
