Decides to blow the whistle as the ball is crossing the line for a goal in a 0-0 game.

No media outrage though as it is League 2.

That is well within the rules (not that I agree with it)

He'll have seen that video of Clive the Whistle, Sweden v Brazil I think, and he'll want to see if he can emulate it! Is he that pernickety that after the fourth official has wafted his board with a minimum of X minutes he's gonna stick to the very last nano-second. They'll be having a laugh down the Referees' Association meeting when they show that video!!

Happened to Leeds I think, maybe last season, against Spurs.

I'd like to have seen the game clock on the above one though.

It is the one thing refs are told not to do from day one, yet an old ref manages to do it.

Happened to us in the late 70's at Derby, I think. Iirc Tueart scored from a corner to make it 2-2 & the ref blew as the ball crossed the line. Can't remember if the ref was Clive Thomas??
