Being a City fan you're probably aware of how effective Football can be for Artist's in the Music Industry, with Oasis gaining a big fan base amongst Blues many years ago.

But with companies like Shoot! in full operation - <a class="postlink" href="http://www.shootmusic.co.uk/aboutus.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.shootmusic.co.uk/aboutus.php</a>
Don't you find it a tad cringeworthy how many artist's seem to latch onto a club, presumably to:
1) Gain a loyal fanbase from the supporters of that particular Club
2) Gain a cool image because they like Football
There are Bands who will genuinely have an interest in Football and a specific club but from watching shows like Soccer AM over the years, I've noticed a sizeable amount of Bandwaggon jumpers of Music Artists who just say:
Yea, we support XXXXX Club
And hey presto! more record sales.
