Against the 10 man defences of our last 2 games, our best moment was arguably Mario's shot against the bar at WBA. Considering how difficult tippy tapping through them was, should we have taken more shots on when you consider the likes of AJ and Silva should be able to have a decent whack??

Either way, we're going to have to find some way of varying things for such games and we don't have the personnel to start spreading it to the wings and whipping quality crosses in.

Completely agree, as long as you get over the ball anything can happen. we need to mix things up a bit.

Aguero, Dzeko, Silva, Nasri, AJ and Yaya have shown over the last 12mths that they can score screamers from outside or on the edge of the area. One good ping into a crowded penalty area and the ball can fly anywhere, preferably into the opposite corner to which the hapless goalie would be flinging himself.

Corner... Blocked... Deflected.. Pinball.. Keeper unsighted.. GOAL.. etc

Balotelli vs Everton was a great example of breaking resistance with a deflected shot from outside the box

That's the goal i used in a conversation about this yesterday,if a ball is struck with power into the box, especially against a side putting all their bodies in defence, then you never know what might happen.

We just kept switching from side to side yesterday,it was clear Dzeko had left the shooting boots at home, and when either Barry or Yaya had the ball at the edge of the area, everyone was screaming for them to have a pop.
