Shooting from outside the box

was thinking about this yesterday, we obviously have a rep for trying to walk it in and teams son't consider our outside the box shooting a threat so don't rush out to close us down - means they can just pack the edge of the box with players - we need them to respect our long range shooting, get players coming out to press us and therefore create more space for silva, aguero etc

Our biggest chance yesterday was Richards header, who came after a Silva shot outside the box.

Would this maestro do the trick? ;)

agreed! sometimes passing it around arsenalesque doesnt work. have to smash more in, deflected ball in the back of the net and it pulls the opposition out in search of equalizer = more goals for City.

I think we should have a shoot on sight policy for at least a certain amount of time every match that teams decide to park the bus.

A deflection, ricochet a goal keeper spilling a shot. The lucky goal is still a goal and be it from 25 meters or 6 get it on target and smash the F*** out of it.

COME ON CITY

Its not just a ricochet or deflection, the balls these days seem to be moving more as there's alot more parrying going on, a good follow up from a shite parry and its Poznan time.

Totally agree, we don't always need to try and walk the ball into the goal, take the gamble have a shot.

It's a good point, but I think we need to do it after a quicker build-up so that there is a thinner wall to penetrate. Lots of bodies mean lots of blocks.
