Several people have been killed at a school in the Austrian city of Graz, authorities said.

Police said they deployed to the school after shots were heard.

I don't have children, but if I were to have them I think the biggest fear I would have is them being exposed to the cruelty that can exist online; which tells it's own story. Sadly, I don't see any robust safeguards being introduced anytime soon.

My colleague has just moved his daughter to another school but it's relentless. He said when he was at school there were bullies but at least those being bullied had respite outside the school gates generally, and definitely once home. No escaping it nowadays.

That being said, going into the school and killing presumably unrelated, innocent people (if he's 21) isn't the solution.

We as a a society should be going all out to protect decent children and decent people by systematically weeding out the shit that doesn't deserve to live around us.

We are too liberal, too nice and we propagate an environment where vermin can take hold, strict new policies and laws and enforce them aggressively with more police and more severe courts including night courts if needed.
