Shooting / Rioting in Paris

Anyone defending the rioting care to explain what benefits and positive changes it has brought to the communities that has seen the criminal damage, loss of personal property and the businesses ruined?
Sales of fireworks are off the charts and the guy that boards up windows for a living has just bought a super yacht, yer always looking on the dark side

Tbf if they're rioting in Marseille it counts as urban regeneration.

To be fair I think it’s only been a couple of clowns who have supported the riots, and they won’t be out of bed for a few hours yet so I wouldn’t expect a reply from them anytime soon.

He’s a shill. There’s a whole bunch of them on Twitter. Sophie Corcoran and Chris Rose are two that have started appearing on my timeline for some reason. But I’m sure there’s many more.

They all post near identical Tweets, to order on a daily basis. Usually within a few minutes of each other. They also all very rarely engage with the replies. Probably because they haven’t even bothered reading what they’ve Tweeted most of the time.

Could you imagine being happy doing that for a living?

A truly pathetic existence.

This is the car he was driving. Its a 2020 model Mercedes A Class AMG. Uk price would be around £24k. Thats an expensive car for a 17yr old.

Presumably not his car as he didn't have a licence.
The BBC report I saw said that type of car (with Polish plates) can be hired quite easily with few questions asked.
They can also be stolen but that has not been suggested in this case.

I read somewhere that it was a rental but not sure how you'd rent a car without a licence!

The passenger has claimed it was "borrowed" so I assume the original renter had a licence; forged or genuine. I would also assume there are clauses in the rental agreement that don't allow other parties to drive the vehicle.

I think a bit of French colonial history is called for, particularly about Algeria.

Things that shouldn’t have happened. Like all the current US presidents were all slave owners apart from Trump. There is a saying somewhere about 2 wrongs

From the film Athena that
lmfao

It's not a coincidence there's a load of French films about inner city life (les banlieues) and policing.

Two good ones from recent years, subject matter is right on the money.

La Haine set the tone, but it's a genre that goes back decades.

loads more out there, two truly great ones I'd recommend tho;
