Ok, so looking to get a few nights away in Sep and wanted to know if anyone had any good ideas?
Needs to be reasonable local, max 2-3 hours drive!
Done the lake disctrict a few times now (and loved it)..just fancied something different!
Oh and its got to be top end accommodation (ie log cabins etc) and no caravans...Mrs G does not do caravans!!!!
Cheers

Always fancied this place, but pretty expensive if it's just the two of you! Near Leek so you'd do it in under an hour from Manchester on Rudyard lake

Also on a similar tip -this place is similar and not as expensive- my mates went recently and loved it.
