Should Boxing Day shopping stop.

For the past few years, I've been to a friend's house for tea on Boxing day. If we're at home that day, I arrive late. You've got to get your priorities right.

It also lets me wear my Bah Humbug hat at the match. Christmas - hate it, with all the false "goodwill to all men" shit that accompanies it.

I've never seen the point of going shopping around the Christmas period. All you get in the sales is the same old tat that the store couldn't sell throughout the year, but at a reduced price, so they can bring in the new stuff when they've got rid of it.
You`ve certainly earned it mate.

I get on my high horse over this issue as my missus works in retail for a well known Charity Organisation who`s top management appear to live on the planet Zlob !

You need to put your foot down Oakie go and show them who is boss. WTF is going out charity shopping on boxing day? Failing that if she is a volunteer go tell them to go f*ck themselves.

She`s the Assistant Manager Mike, and although Christmas Day and Boxing Day fall on the Sunday Monday, she still has to go in on the Tuesday, even though that should be the day in lieu for Christmas Day.
Thank fuck she`s only got another 3 years left,as unfortunately she can`t retire until she`s 66,but thats another story under the heading of "Fuck You Parliament,I Want To Retire At 65 !!".

Just put snipers in high positions in every major shopping district and shoot them all, then the year after make it very clear that while the shops will be open, there are consequences.

The only slight concern here would be if some poor shop assistant was a bit late getting to work, they might be mistaken for a shopaholic and get caught in the line of fire (oh, what rate of pay will the snipers be on, & do they finish in time for a couple of pints before the game)

1. That'll teach them to be punctual, they'll never be late (in the punctuality sense) again.
2. Triple time and Commission.
3. They'll finish when they finish, you don't go home until the jobs done.
