Not that but a friend has a wife who is a NHS doctors surgery receptionist in telford. Was round there for dinner and she showed me a letter which stated that asylum seekers were to receive priority for appointments/ treatment. She is not a political animal but was outraged with her instructions.

I know there are not huge numbers and no doubt many are deserving cases who require our support and sympathy. But why the hell should they get priority over people who have worked and contributed into the system all their lives?! That stinks. This was a few years back now and it may have changed. But how could it have ever have been considered a good idea in the first place?
