The rules as they stand now are a mockery.
Not that long ago, Tim Cahill couldn't play for Australia on the sole basis he made one substitute appearance for Western Samoa as a 14 year old. And this was almost ten years later!
Now we are locked in battles with nations to give caps to kids such as Rhys Williams who despite being bord and bred here, are representing Wales for instance in stronger U19/21 competitions.
