Already asked this on referee performance thread but as he is not a referee but their boss I would like to gauge peoples views on a dedicated thread. I think he has overseen a massive decline in the performances of referees and he should carry the can and walk. Todays West Hams disallowed goal is just the latest in many inconsistent decisions that have plagued the game this season, where games are decided by subjective decisions and the unwillingness of VAR officials to overrule senior referees who make mistakes, knowingly or unknowingly. A season where the standard of football, tactics and ability, have been taken back years by orders from those who run the professional referees, referees who if they don't follow orders will likely lose their highly paid, £180,000 per year jobs. What choice do they have.
