Former SYP Officer will know a bit about corruption.
Was about to post similar once I'd reached the thread end.Who'd replace him?
Probably be Tierney or Twatwell. OliVAR will no doubt be sniffing around it as well.
The clubs canThat's a different equation, and I never liked the twat, but there isn't anyone who can sack him.
Why does it have to be an former refereeWho'd replace him?

Hackett and Riley so far.Why does it have to be an former referee
He'll yesAlready asked this on referee performance thread but as he is not a referee but their boss I would like to gauge peoples views on a dedicated thread. I think he has overseen a massive decline in the performances of referees and he should carry the can and walk. Todays West Hams disallowed goal is just the latest in many inconsistent decisions that have plagued the game this season, where games are decided by subjective decisions and the unwillingness of VAR officials to overrule senior referees who make mistakes, knowingly or unknowingly. A season where the standard of football, tactics and ability, have been taken back years by orders from those who run the professional referees, referees who if they don't follow orders will likely lose their highly paid, £180,000 per year jobs. What choice do they have.
Ten more years, ten more years, Howard Webb!Go?
Once this guy supplies the rags with their next Premier league he'll be signing a 10 year contract extension
If he goes he should be replaced by someone from another sport, probably Rugby Union, where they have a bit more idea about using video evidence and, from a referees' perspective, know how to make players behave in a more civil manner.
Remember a derby game where Rooney was refereeing and Oliver was relaying the decisions and Hart nearly hit him.Joe hart too
Given how Hackett likes to have a go at his successors perhaps City should offer hum a lucrative contract to rubbish every decision that goes against us. He certainly is very creative in justifying them at the moment. - glancing blow, subjective decision not in the scope of VAR but right according to the letter of the law (wrong!) but not in the spirit of the law, the ball was going wide of the goal (so not DOGSO (Henderson handball. The **** will need to be forced out first !
Rugby is a good example because they enforce the rules and laws of the game without question.
Every time new rules are introduced by the FA they operate initially but are, then ignored by the, weak individuals refereeing games.
PIGMOI are a symbolic/pathetic/ collection of individuals who display no consistency of integrity, and failing individuals are allowed to continue without sanction or removal.
The whole thing needs a serious and genuine overhaul where impartiality is the major principle of the set-up. This current situation is riddled with incompetence, inconsistency and corruption without threat of challenge of retribution.
Can't we have the druggy who called Klopp a ****?
Media repirts of possessing indecent images of a child probably rule him out.
I'd like Collina the Italian ref with slightly mad eyes to get Webb's job.
