Should I get an iPhone?

Every 6 months they put out a better one. Insurance companies aren't even covering them because all the scammers sitting on their phones as soon as a new one comes out.

I predict that in about two or three years these thing are going to be made of better material.

Got bored of waiting for the new iphone and ordered a HTC Desire yesterday. Anyone else having trouble getting them delivered?

Wouldn't get an iphone...unless you like being a sheep.

My Desire should turn up tomorrow...been out of stock for 4 days.

That's a bit of a silly comment.
There's a reason why the iphone is so popular. It's a great bit of kit.
I've just finished an 18 month contract with the 3G, the first model, and it performed superbly.
I have an ipod anyway and found I wasn't really using it for what it was intended so I have got a Sony Ericsson Xperia10 now. Only had it a week but VERY pleased so far.

for the O.P. I'd say if you already have an ipod, don't bother, get another phone with 3G that you can access the web on, it will be cheaper to use, you don't seem to make many calls.

Rumours about the latest iphone coming out, is a 5MP camera (no forward facing one) and a speedier system.

Bilbo - I took the plunge too and got a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 too!!

Had it for a couple of days now and dead chuffed with it too - daunted by some of it as I'm new to the world of smart phones!!

BUT..... it is a cracking phone!!

id say yes.
but ive had 2 iphones (i loved them and i still use them)

I now have a HTC and i can tell you, they are absolutly brilliant, and is the only phone closest to challenging the iphone.

Thanks to all who have sent in contributions.Looks like it the iPhone then!Just remind me the internet access is via the nearest wifi signal.Y? Does the phone company charge you like on the old 3G phones?Sorry for the many questions,but the phone people do try to stiff you.

If you're on an iPhone contract they'll give you 3G internet inclusive. Unlimited for O2, 750mb for Orange (might not sound like much but it's still hefty for a mobile). If you have a wireless router for your home internet, you can pick that up on it for free.

Adding my voice to the get an iPhone camp. I have one and it's brilliant.
