The trouble is that you know all the bad things about the country you live in but only see the good things in other countries. If there was a perfect place to live then everyone would go there.
It's very easy to get disheartened about living here, when it's pissing down we're possibly heading towards recession and there's nothing but bad news on the tv.
Spain used to be cheap but that's not the case any more with the strong Euro. France - full of french people. USA - you can be shot just for knocking on someone's door to ask directions. Plus it may be cheap to live but you don't get paid as much. Australia - supposed to be nice with a good standard of living but why do most of them seem to be over here if it's so great? New Zealand - boring as hell by all accounts. Canada - not bad i've heard but no such thing as a mild winter like we have.
