I think if, when it comes to the knock out stages of the CL we are still far adrift of Liverpool, then our priorities may change and we'll see more rotation in the league ahead of European games.
Agreed, and think it would be the right call.

It will be an absolute miracle if we win the Champions league as UEFA will pull every trick in the book to try and stop up.
Absolutely not!!.. someone earlier stated why would you when knock out is in Feb!..and that is nail on head.It’s a long season and whilst we’re ahead it is nowhere near over yet. It’s November!! Personally- just don’t think City have the defence to win a CL this year imo.
Imo, we have to wait until february if we are to toss off the league for the CL.
Until then though: 3 of our 4 title wins have been won by overcoming very difficult scenarios: United 8 points ahead with 6 games left in 2012, in 13/14 we lost 4 of our first 11 games + Lpool were 7 points ahead after they beat us in the run in. In 18/19 we were 10 points behind before the match against Soton & 7 before Lpool at the Etihad.
Liverpool do have a huge advantage by having a 9 point lead. But lets wait & see if they can keep getting results when the schedule gets more busy & they get injuries. Likewise, if Pep manages to temporary fix our defensive issues until Laporte is back, we could really go on a long winning run. The CL group is pretty much done if we beat Shakthar & we got a lucky draw with Oxford in the LC, meaning Pep can focus on the league until new year. Its far from over yet.

And get beat in the QF again and then our season’s fucked ? No fucking way.I'm not sure there's energy left in this team to fight it again on all fronts. We have lot of injuries and 3 years with Pep is very draining, specially to some older players that are still important for us.
Should we just secure top 4, eventually play it easy in League Cup and throw everything on Champions League? It's not guaranteed or close to that even then, but I doubt we are strong enough to do it if we go for everything again.
Never prioritise a cup competition until winning the league is mathematically impossible especially a shite devalued rigged one run by a cartel of cvnts because, by fair means or foul, things can all go wrong on one day.

Ridiculous comment. All those players you snidely refer to contributed significantly to 2 consecutive titles.As bad as uefa and the pl fuck us over, we have a few defenders and a certain midfielder who surpass even them.
