It is normally just families and early birds at main reception. Last time the masses came down some bloke let off a smoke bomb and the stewards got him and were trying to get his ticket off him with the help of the police. He was near to the barriers so I'd just be wary if you are thinking of taking similar stuff near to the barriers where the kids normally go.

It is a great point this. If we slowed it down like spurs do it could sound utterly fantastic and long enough to drag the whole ground into singing it.

I’m surprised Pep has made a big deal of this. Wouldn’t it be better to treat the occasion as a routine home match? Same build up as usual?

The downside of getting everyone one hyped up is that if we don’t score early on the drop off in atmosphere will be that much greater.

The main requirement from the fans surely is patience?

Pep has built a team that loves big games and big moments. And I think, looking back over the last ten years, City fans have come to embrace these. Liverpool fans were moaning that we are always well up for it against them, let's give the same for Villa.
