Show of support planned before PSG and Chelsea games

You have a head full of magic.

Stop it. Mother of God.

Only the ones who talk daft, Kaz.

I presume you meant "belittle", by the way.

Firstly this isn't a victory/trophy parade where there are going to be thousands of Blues around. It is a wet and windy Tuesday night with no fan's allowed to enter to watch the game. They also, as far as I'm aware, have no real idea what time the City coach is driving to the ground or what route it will take. Then after it passes they have limited time to get home or to a venue showing the game, so I'd guess turn out isn't going to be huge. So for any rag wankers showing up the opposition wouldn't be overwhelming. Remember the 5-1 at Maine Road when a group of the fuckers got tickets for the North Stand? While a few lads used to go in there it was still classed as a bit of a family stand, that's their level.

While I'm not big on scare stories ( I was on my way to Wembley for the play off final against Gillingham when the front page headlines was 10,000 Millwall yobs were going to turn up to cause mayhem, that was utter bollocks) it would be remiss not to warn Blues, especially going by public transport, to keep one eye open.

Secondly I do believe the rag fuckers would turn up tonight whether City fan's were attending or not. That fiasco on Sunday wasn't about the Glazers it was to prevent the game going ahead so we couldn't win the league if they lost. They were planning it a few days before, they used the Glazer protest and hijacked it and they succeeded. They are jealous as fuck of our success and if they can bottle the PSG coach, or attack our main entrance or worse on another game going live globally to cause us embarrassment trust me they will. I'm not expecting Tony O'Neil and fifty of his finest to turn up but the odd rogue moron, the likes of which we saw at the swamp on Sunday.

Any long standing Blue, you are one, knows the level these shitstains will stoop to, so stop dissing any others that raise justifiable concerns. We know them.

Each to there own it really is quite simple if you want to go , go if you don’t want to go , don’t go .

Spot on good luck to any that do I hope they enjoy it and give the lads a lift. If I was a youngster again I'd be there myself, it's their choice. I would even have relished any rags turning up to be honest, it would have been the icing on the cake when I was a teen.

Exactly, nobody's being forced into going. Everyone who wants to support the will go, no amount of complaining will stop that.

Im going down tonight but in the back of my mind im worried about a jumped up kid lobbing a bottle. the press will be all over it

I remember both of these occasions, about 12 of us ended up in a Millwall pub before the Wembley game. God knows how but they were fine, about 50 or so in the boozer. Beer was also cheap so we stayed a few hours.

No mither, we had more trouble later with the ricksaw drivers in central London

As for the 5-1, City knew they were coming in and they soon realised they had bit off more than they could chew.

To be 19 or 29 again

I wasn't going to post in this thread today. But!

It's nearly 3.30pm and the club still haven't put out a statement asking the fans no to turn up tonight and to stay at home.(would the fans do that anyway?)

Yes, there is a risk the MIBs might turn up looking to disrupt the welcoming.

But as a PR excecise, especially after what happened on Sunday, it would be an absolute PR disaster for the Glazers out campaign.

I appreciate the MIBs have got to the Etihad before whilst the derby match was being played, and they waited until the final whistle to have a fight with City, which didn't last long if you remember? ;-) But I would be amazed if GMP weren't be able to track 50 MIB's making their way through town, or through East Manchester to get to the Etihad tonight. And if the MIBs do get to the Etihad, GMP aren't doing their job properly once again.

Unless the MIBs are all dressed up like Moonchester and Moonbeam, and wearing zebra pants, they aren't going to reach the Etihad un-noticed.

That aside. It comes to something when City fans have to stop supporting the team, and are being told to stop supporting the team by other City fans, on the off chance that the MIBs might be intent on ruining the welcome and causing trouble. In that case, lets not bother supporting the team on derby day next season. And let the MIBs and United fans in general have a free run of the Etihad and the surrounding area.

COVID point taken. Mask up, gloves, social distance.
