Shreks wounded knee

Astonishing, that anyone would wish to see an English footballer injured? These are the first cnuts who come out every two years and tell us Quarter finals at best!

Football for those who have forgotten, is entertainment 1st. Otherwise no point in watching football,
anyone who cannot appreciate a good goal or a good move by a rival player, with a ability and a winning mentality, is an arsehole. Like voting BNP.

-- Tue Mar 23, 2010 9:41 pm --

Why? and I'm not trying to be arsey or start an argument. The way I see it, I like living in this country and I'm very lucky to have been born in a country that is relatively stable financially and politically but it is just that, luck. To me it is like being proud of the colour of my hair or proud of the size of my feet. I just don't get it. I do realise that I am hugely in the minority and will probably get shit loads of grief.

I don't give a toss if you or anyone else supports their national team or not. Personally I am really looking forward to the World cup & will be just as excited & nervous at every England game as I am for any City game. What I can't understand is this glee at other teams players getting injured!

Actually don't rise to the bait, everyone watches the World Cup, Worldwide audiences prove it,
I hate seeing key players go down, since 1966 when Greaves was injured, 70 Banks was laid low 82 Keegan and Brooking injured, 86 and 90 Robson injured, 94 Gascoigne crocked and on and on and on.

Anyone who did not despair when rooney got injured at 18 at Euro 2004 may as well sign up for Al-Queda. I mean it.

One of the few things Blatter has been right about is that a country should be managed by someone of the same nationality .
It's an absolute disgrace that we've had to employ an Italian to do the job.
Might as well have a few more Italians playing for us at the back and a couple of Spanish lads up front as well as it's the same priciple.
Used to love watching England years ago but can't get into it now,if we did win the World Cup it would feel like a hollow victory to me and I'm not arsed about it in the slightest.

I'd wish to see him injured! Couldn't give a damn about the England team, I hate most of them and I hate the FA, we are the most overhyped team on the planet, Gerrard and Lampard are past it but still play every game, Ferdinand and Terry will soon be past it but no doubt will still be playing this time in 4 years while the likes of Lescott are left to sit on the bench!

The whole thing is just corrupt and run by sponsors, why else do you think Beckham is in the set up, to sell kits for Umbro and the FA thats why!

i like your style NB

I really cant believe some peoples attitude to the England team and the world Cup. There is not many events, sporting or otherwise,as the World Cup(especially if England do well) for bringing the "feel good" factor for the people of this country, and after the last 18 months of the recession we bloody well need it! look at the passion and pride the Americans & Aussies show for their countries sporting successes, what is wrong with the mentality of some people in this country that dont want our national team,in our national sport to be crowned the best on the planet. Personally, I would cheer England winning the World Cup as much as City lifting the Champions League.
As for Rooney, regardless of the fact he plays for the rags, he is without doubt 1 of the best players in the world currently, and I'd have him playing for City any day if it meant we could dominate European football for the next 10 years!

Well, 280 million watched the final in 2006, which whilst I'll admit is quite a lot, it's not really everyone. In fact, that's 8 times less than watched Diana's funeral.

Whilst there may be some merit to the rest of your post, you then completely blow it with this load of shite :-)

I hope you don't mean it,if you take it that serious i'd stop supporting England if i was you. The 1st class defender with a bit of pace that man marks him will see the little horror explode & get sent of,we need a plan B.

sounds about rightfor the FA, everyone knows the incompitence that runs the FA, but is that any reason to turn your back on the England team? wil it mean nothing to you and will you not celebrate if they lift the World Cup,as you dont seem like that

2 LOL,a foul mouthed cheating sly dirty little bullying shit,he attempts to injure every goalkeeper he slides in on,yes a fine example if you want all kids to be like that bottle throwing twat with the Winston Churchill statue.

Every single WC I can remember has started like this.

The media start the same old "England are going to win the WC with that team" shite about 6 months beforehand.

As the WC gets near, twats like Winter and Barclay start slagging off a number of the players they've spent the previous 6 months building up as "not good enough to be in the squad"-the current recipients being Joe Cole and anyone in the back four.

Then we get the tedious "we can't win it without XYZ" player-as with Robson,Butcher,Gascgoine,Lineker,Beckham,Owen-and now of course, saint Wayne.

The same muppets who were screaming from the rooftops about how great England are shitting themselves at the thought of "the best player in the world" having a dodgy knee.

We've gone from "dead certs" to "no hopers" if we don't have Ashley Cole and Rooney.

That's the thing about the England team. The story always remains the same-only the names change.

What the fuck ever happened to national pride, in a way i would love us to be like aussie or americans in the pride we take from national sports.

People saying they hate the national team because of the FA, i mean WTF, i hate the FA they bent as fook but still take pride in my country.

Can only imagine what winning the world cup would do to this country, probably single handedly drag us out of recession

While all the English people that hate the national team can move to Scotland where you know for a fact it wont be reported on!!!

Well if you gonna roll that out, under old monarch law, all English land actually belongs to the queen so unless you in 00000.00001% of the population its not your country and the queen is german and prince charles is marvin the martian in disguise and we not actually english we a miss mash of other empires invading us, so if i trace my family tree its probably Norway i should support

I wouldn't worry too much about national pride. It is alive and well as will be proven by the hundreds of thousands of people who will hang flags out of their cars and houses during the world cup. Some people take pride in their acheivements or their choices in life, some people take pride in the random things in life, like where their mum popped them out.
