Drogba's jibe at money-bags City: World's best players will snub the Blues
Didier Drogba has told Manchester City that the world's best players will continue to snub the club despite the riches on offer.
Drogba's Chelsea team-mate John Terry flirted with a move to City this summer with wages in excess of £200,000-a-week on offer. Terry stayed at Chelsea, citing their ability to challenge for major honours.
Drogba said: 'I wouldn't be tempted to move to City, not at all, and I don't think John ever was really. The top players in the world are all pretty loyal. If you are playing for a top European club, it is no secret you are going to be earning big money.
'It is unlikely you will move to somewhere you don't want to be just for a little bit more money. No big players left Chelsea this year and that shows how much the players love it. All of the other big four clubs had top players moving.
'I never thought John would really leave.' Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has become something of an Anglophile. He said: 'I've done the classic tour of Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Piccadilly and Hyde Park and they are magnificent. I also did a bit of shopping at Harrods.
'I don't miss the food in Italy. You can get edible pasta dishes in England. As for the roast beef, it is delicious. I never pass up a dessert and if I want to get a piece of Parmesan cheese, I can find it anywhere.'
Wasn't this the same player that wanted to come to City, but Chelsea told him they wouldn't sell him.
Best Players?
Given, Toure, Robinho, Ireland, Barry, Tevez, Ade, etc. All up there with any players the Sky 4 can call worldclass.
Drogba. Your a dickhead.
