Players need to stop talking shit like this and demonstrate it on the pitch.

And supporters should start supporting in the best season in most fans lifetime

Why shouldn't a player be allowed to express his opinion?

He's only trying to talk the club up, be positive.

If it's okay for the CEO to claim that we will be the biggest club in the world, I don't see a problem with De Jong claiming we will beat Bolton on Tuesday night!

30 plus years fella and i have seen some shite but seldon have i seen shite worth 200 Million that we have been served up against Everton - Spuds and Hull.

Players need to stop making sound bites and get on with it

It would have been much better for the club, if he came out and said "I'm shit, the team is shit, and we're going to finish 10th".

I do understand where the OP is coming from.

Words do have the capacity to irritate after a bad performance.

No it would have been much better to say we are all totally gutted and dissapointed we let the travelling fans down and we are going to work our fookin nut off to try abd put thing right - NOT put it down to a bad day at the office

After recent performances that sadly would be closer to the truth

It's easier on morale if you don't admit that you were outclassed by Hull, and admit that you probably played badly for the day instead.

Completely agree with you DCTID.
I want my players to be saying the right things but the problem is they don'y back up what they say most of the time & it gets very repetitive after a while.

The supporters who went yesterday have every justifacation in being pissed off. It's not acceptable for a team that has has £200 mill plus invested to gain 1 point over 2 games against Hull.

It's an interview. And with the official site too so what do u expect him to say when asked what he feels will happen.
It's one of those responses that most players would give the official site.
