Very many thanks to all who have posted their condolences. Your thoughts are a great consolation to all the family at this time. He would have really appreciated all your recollections (not all of which I'd heard before).

He had a good life, and a long one. And it was a great delight that he lived long enough to see City restored to its former glory (though sad that he wasn't well enough to be there in person to us win the Championship or the FA Cup).

I remember a relative of mine years ago saying how much of a gentleman and decent bloke that Sidney was. It obviously runs in the family, because it was a nice touch for you to come on Bluemoon and thank fellow blues for posting their condolences. RIP Sidney.
