Least theres been some good news! Glad he can play some part.

I'd wait until it's confirmed by Pellegrini at the press conference before getting my hopes up if I was you. I haven't seen him on any of the pictures of the team boarding the plane, so it's not a given that he'll be involved.

When is the Press conference Ric? We've usually got it done by this time haven't we?

Think it was against Bayern last season at home, getting mullered 3-0 and SIlva came on and had an instant impact and we somehow managed to get it to 3-2 and look fairly respectable.
Except that City lost 3-1 to Bayern.

I think Claytop is thinking of the free kick that hit the bar from Dave late on. In short, he turned the tide of the game, got an assist, conspired to get Boateng sent off and hit the crossbar. Not a bad 15 mins work in all.

Oh and then he single handedly passed them off the park on their own patch.

He also played majestically against Barca in both games and was inspirational in getting us back to 2-2 at Anfield from 2-0 down. Creates so much space for himself, and therefore others. A brilliant player. Shows just how well Aguero's been playing because the guy that creates chances from anywhere and everywhere wasn't even playing.

Man City boost as quartet train ahead of Roma clash
Dec 09, 2014 11:00 By Paul Handler
David Silva, Vincent Kompany, Fernandinho and Stevan Jovetic all trained on Tuesday morning for Manchester City ahead of their clash with Roma.

Newcastle United's Ryan Taylor and Manchester City's David Silva (right) battle for the ball
Key quartet David Silva, Vincent Kompany, Fernandinho and Stevan Jovetic all trained on Tuesday morning for Manchester City ahead of their Champions League clash with Roma.

The Blues were without Sergio Aguero (knee) as expected, but Kompany (hamstring), Silva (knee), Jovetic (hamstring) and Fernandinho were involved as the squad tuned up.

If Kompany and Silva are passed fit that will be a major boost to boss Manuel Pellegrini, who was rocked by the loss of star striker Sergio Aguero in Saturday's game against Everton .
Fucking mint one!

Would love to get even 45 minutes out of el Mago for each of the next few games until the squad starts to look reasonably fleshed out again, willl make all the difference in terms of results imo.

What better pick me up after losing the 2nd best player in the PL to an injury than the best player in the PL's return?

Completely agree with this comment. David Silva is the most criminally underrated footballer in Europe. Aguero is having the season of his life, and would have walked the Player of the Season if he hadn't got injured, hopefully he'll still win it. But in terms of unique, special talent, Silva is the best player in the league for me.
