I wonder where Modric wants to go? I can imagine Chelsea trumping a Madrid bid who are likely to be cash strapped. i would think spurs would prefer to sell him abroad rather than to another English club and especially not to Chelsea after last year.

That's right but Madrid are doing there tapping up now, they don't want him to sigh an extension, so they can go in for him next season for a more reasonable fee
