City want Kjaer
By Football Italia staff

Former Roma loanee Simon Kjaer could reject a return to Italy in favour of joining Manchester City, claim reports.

Kjaer spent last season on loan at the Stadio Olimpico but a permanent deal didn’t follow, leading to the likes of Milan and Fiorentina both reportedly considering a move this summer.

However, they could be beaten by Roberto Mancini’s City, who are considering Kjaer if they cannot complete a deal for first-choice target Daniel Agger of Liverpool.

The young Dane was thought to be certain to leave Wolfsburg permanently due to his fractious relationship with Coach Felix Magath.

However, with reports suggesting that the pair have now patched up their differences, the player’s departure has become more complex.

Lille and Malaga are also reportedly in the running for the defender’s signature too.

One of Europe's hottest properties a couple of years ago, we were linked with bids of £20m etc.
However, he has been pretty ordinary since for both clubs and country, and wouldn't fetch half that nowadays.
Still only 23 so time is on on his side. Remember Micah had a difficult couple of seasons after his initial burst into the limelight.
However, far from the finished article and would be a bit of a gamble

Is he the one that looks like Sam Jones from Flash Gordon?

I'll give him a miss if you don't mind...

I like him and he looks at lot better value than Agger.

He's been absolute calamity in club football recently. He was brilliant alongside Agger at the Euros but has been terrible for Wolfsburg and Roma in two inferior leagues to our own. This would be a really risky signing and would be based on the hope Mancini could turn him around, but don't we want someone guaranteed to perform for us after the Savic disaster?
