Singers who can't sing

thom yorke, his singing is awful, to my ears anyway ruining the good music behind it.

The thing with Thom Yorke, and singers of his ilk, they aren't supposed to be the best singers out there, it's the whole package, the lyrics, the music and the vocals that matter. As a whole Radiohead sound fantastic, if you just listened to Yorke's singing then you'd probably think it off key.

therefore he can't sing, i'm not commenting on the package that might work for you but not for me.

leona lewis can sing like a canary but i don't like her
john lydon can't sing but i like his delivery and as such the package of the band

you just don t like it...he can sing and is one of the best out there.... to nominate him is shocking!!!!

Its not about the singing its about pandering to the music moguls. If it was about the voice this dude Sananda Maitreya (formerly Terence Trent D'arby) would have been massive from the eighties and one of the most respected artists ever. He's still going if you remember him

I knew there was one I really hated but couldn't remember. Bob Dylan really, REALLY, can't sing. He was nasal and annoying when younger, nowadays it's just fucking God awful.

Can't believe no-one's mentioned Bernard Sumner yet. That said, New Order probably wouldn't sound right without his bum notes.

Simon le Bon's vocals always sounded very strained to me. And Whitney Houston doesn't sing, she just shouts.
