Singing Section for Wembley?

Get your face painted if you want mate.
I'm confused, I thought we were talking about a singing section here, not a face painted section - not that there's owt wrong with people coming in fancy dress, bringing the inflatables etc. Clearly you've never met the Stanley Ultras, they are pretty fucking loud. I'd hazard a guess that you object to singing as well though.

I'm glad most understand the message loud and clear.

The whole stadium will be bouncing. The way you are going on we never sang until some of the younger ones started to go to games!!

Will it though? you'll get people telling you to sit down and that they can't see. im never sitting down in a million years.

The whole City section will stand for the whole game . The noise will be deafening. Most of our support will have been on the beer all day. Every "lad" in Manchester who's ever followed City will be there. The nerves and excitement will be palpable, the tension unbearable

The glory if we win will be like very little you have ever experienced as a City supporter. Think Wembley 99. The kick in the teeth of we lose will hurt like you've barely hurt before. Think Luton 83.

I guess if you're a certain age you've never really known these occasions, hence the naivity of some.

These occasions are not like home league games. They won't need a fucking singing section, sweet jesus.

I just happen to disagree with you as usual Dave. Sadly, I don't think the atmosphere does look after itself. It's not a fact I relish. It's funny this you know, because I've seen many a post from you saying the atmosphere would be better if we brought the singing section together with the south stand. It's one of the few things we agree on. This goes out of the window at Wembley it would seem. I've been generally disappointed with big occasion atmospheres though. Most of the derbies at Eastlands since Keegan have been tense affairs with a tepid atmosphere. I am actually glad to see you're being an optimist for a change though.

Was at Gillingham and yes it was a bloody good atmosphere - until around the 80th minute and then again after the 94th. Our support was more vocal in those days though. I'm not the only one who feels like Eastlands has yet to achieve the atmosphere we had at Maine Road. Again, glad you're being an optimist. I just disagree.

The problem isn't City fans, though, it's COMS.

You've stated the reasons yourself above.

I bet 75% of the crowd at Wembley were there in 99. It will be just as good if not better.

but what about all these coperate tickets in the city end they will probaly sit down and ruin it for some fans so if you could ask the club for a ticket where you know you can stand and sing

Fair enough, i was at Wembley in 99 but Luton was before my time. I guess your right just got to make sure we sing and really get behind the lads. Win Lose or Tie were city till we die.
