that tour in 1983 with robert fucking smith just playing the bass for them was incredible.

Severin was on bass.
Smith was lead guitar

I was at the first night of the Royal Albert Hall in 83, the Friday, which was recorded for the Nocturne live album.
Stayed at a friend's house and hitched it back to Manchester in time for City v Grimsby at Maine Road

the poor albert hall staff hadn't a clue back then...
iirc everyone in the main standing area had a special marked ticket.
but you could go to the bar with loads of other people's marked tickets in your pocket and hand them out to friends with shitty balcony tickets.
it was rammed.
the sound was the best on the whole tour.

The stewards were all aged about 75 and didn't know quite what to make of all these Siouxsie look a like goth girls not wearing too much!
