Does anyone else think that Freddie should get a knighthood in the next honours list?

Is it worth starting a petition? If the likes of Seb Coe can be made a Lord, and a (very good)cyclist and a (very good) rower can get a knighthood, what about the guy who has been an England talisman for years and has been key in winning 2 Ashes series, as well as risking his own health to do so. Not only that but to do it in such an entertaining, all round way and adding both charisma and humour too.

Freddie's appeal goes beyond cricket, and has non cricket fans watching it because of him.

One thing I fuckin hate is how cheap knighthoods, MBE's, OBE's etc. have become these days. He's just a fuckin cricketer, he's been paid massive amounts of money for it. There are doctors, surgeons, nurses, servicemen/women out there saving people's lives and don't get half the money these heavily decorated and fawned over actors/actresses and sportsmen/women get. Why massage their massively oversized egoes any more?
