Sir Josep Guardiola?

Given his opinions about politics in Spain something tells me he’s not really a big royalist.
Indeed id like to think if he was offered one he's tell them where to stick it unlike man of the people sir Alec as they love to fucking call him

To be honest, Pep's achievements are worth far more than anything offered by the corrupt and farcical British "honours" system. I expect he'd consider himself above that, as he should.

I like the idea of a stand or the academy being named after him, though.

OK, not a very popular idea, apparently. Fair enough.
I'd just like Pep to get some sort of formal recognition from the community. He already is recognised by MCFC and its supporters, and rightly so, as the best manager we've ever had. But as I pointed out in my OP, he's done more than that. He's made a major contribution to the way the national sport is thought about and played.
Every country has a system of formal honours by which it recognises people who've performed services to the community. It so happens that yours is a monarchy. I live in a republic, and believe me there's croneyism (which I despise) in any honours system you can name. Doesn't mean that everyone who's recognised by it is invalidated. Mo Farrah?
Anyway, it's no big deal, and as I indicated, I have no great liking for CBEs, OBEs, knighthoods, statues and all the rest of it. As for whether Pep would refuse it, well, I don't know the guy, but I have a strong suspicion he'd be rather chuffed. He's very respectful about the traditions of the U.K.

Hi is and always will be Pep, not sir Pep. He is an extremely humble man, he has had to fight against the cheating of the PL, PIGMOB and uefa, why would he want to join the establishment?
