Good old Joey claiming that Fergie was an undeniably great manager, but hadn`t a clue when it came to coaching,
"He couldn`t (Fergie) even lay out the cones !! "
So this is allegedly coming from Barton via ex-players.
So,was he a far better manager than a coach ?
And he would be correct especially over the last 5-10 years anyway, Ferguson never took a training session whilst Rene Mulensteen was there...he obviously picked the team and would observe training, but tactics and coaching sessions content etc was left to his staff, he delegated and was why he was successful as he adapted to the modern game and the biggest thing that prevented his involment later on was his age......this is why Moyse had no need for Mulensteen as he is a Tracksuit manager and is involved in most sessions

Seems to be working quite well so far for moyes. Ha

Thought it was well known that Fergie didn't even take training unless the cameras were there?

It certainly shows with Gollum, the rags are total crap.. He has made a grave error binning the coaching staff right off the bat.. Chuffed to fuck. Whatever bacon face did or didn't do, from St Mirren to the rags he did it well. He's still a C*** though

it doesnt really matter what he was best at, the only thing he will be remembered for is success unfortunately, i couldnt care less what Pellegrini is good at and isnt as long as we win on match day

Yeah; I heard that as well. It's hardly an earth shattering revelation. As others have already said, it worked.

I'll give Joey that his statement that dyke has stuck 8 minions in front of him in case his plan becomes bollocks was spot on, I mean any t--t who picks mills god fearing hoddle and the guy who sold cantona must off his head. This dyke is a dick?

Every time United went out of Europe it was down to Fergie being tactically beaten. About five times he played 4 in midfield against an oppositions 5 and United were overrun and lost.

He was by no means tactically deep. He played with a predictable but effective quick counter attacking, lots of crosses, winger system. He got the ball as close to the goal as often as possible and over time, eventually, a goal will come.
