Sir Mark Rowley

They do.

Unfortunately it matters not who they appoint IMO,as they will only have to bend to ridiculous levels of PC and Wokeness.

London, and society in general, needs a zero tolerance approach to reclaim the streets and sort out the mess we have become.

Getting rid of that useless **** Khan would be the best and biggest help.

I wish people would make their minds up - I thought that being PC and woke was all about being a Remainer and thinking Black Lives Matter and thinking a free press was in fact the model of free speech and not wanting people to drown in the channel and being supportive of racial harmony and of LBQTQ+ rights but now you seem to be telling us it means people who are more likely to apply a racial bias to arrests and who think its ok to strip search a minor because she is black and may smell of weed and people who think its ok to use a position of authority to abuse dead people or arrest live people under false pretences then rape and murder them...... ?

I am starting to think people who describe people as being PC and woke really mean people who just do not agree to the letter with their every belief......

Given they’ve been appointed in part due to sexism and racism being allowed to run rife in the Met itself, I’m not sure if they were to argue about “pc and wokeness”, it would see them off to a good start…

I used to share a flat with a couple of coppers, when I lived in Wilsden Green a few years ago. Their main complaints were being overworked and understaffed, which sounded about right cos they were always knackered.

Never heard them complain about 'wokeness'.

Given that, according to Interpol, 86% of ALL crime is drug related, surely a thorough examination and review of drugs policy would have the biggest impact of all.

Meanwhile, seeking out the criminals operating within the service is a given.

Didn't the government promise that the reduction in police numbers that they delivered would not lead to any increase in crime?

It mostly backs up what he said a few days ago about there being several hundred officers to be investigated. I don't mind him stating what the state of things is/will be.

It's obviously terrible for the police image, but indicating what he's found so far to act on is surely a good idea.

at least he is more frank that Dick's "the odd bad apple" comment

Another thread where Fantasy Ireland manages to come across as a ****. There are so many of them.
