Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney was greeted by rapturous applause as he was named Ultimate Legend at the MTV Music Awards in his home town of Liverpool.

He was part of a billiant song writing team in The Beatles, came up with some crackers with Wings.
He is a bit long in the tooth now, but who is to say that Lennon would be making great music had he lived?
Some of the stuff he did with Yoko was fucking dire.
