Sky Box Problem

i had exactly same, to be fair to sky they tried to fix over phone, they tried everything and eventually said it will be an engineer visit, knocked the price down from £65 to £40 for me though !
when the enginer arrived he asked if i has installed myself, which i hadnt -sky had 2 years ealier, he was amazed it had lasted so long
told sky and got my £40 refunded

I had a simirlar problem the other week
Phoned sky up(no charge) ran it through with me and solved the problem
They knew what it was after doing the test via the settings..

Ha Ha
It was the first obvious thing to do mate
No engineer needed :)

I had this problem a few weeks ago, phoned sky and told them that I had done all the unpluging bit and it made no difference so they sent an engineer out and he said it was the LNB ( the bit on the end of the dish ) so he changed that and the box was working again.
Off he went and both of us very pleased.
24 hours later same thing again so I phoned him and told him and he said " oh it must be the box", he came back round within the hour and changed my old box for a new HD box at no extra charge, been fine since.
