Was it just me...or did anybody else get the feeling that, - because he was fortunate enough not to come out of that disgraceful "challenge" with half of his face missing & still able to walk afterwards, - that Worzel Gummidge was, not not so subtlety, accussing Ederson of actually cheating in that garbled after match interview?

The main argument I have heard for it not being a red was that it wasn't deliberate. So from now on players are only going to be sent off if it can be proved they meant to hurt the other player? Good luck with that then.

As one of the replies on the mailonline article said "if it was deliberate he would be in prison"

They can say what the fuck they want, Moss said red and that's that. Of course they may appeal but if they do I hope the forthcoming ban gets extended. He was out of control, feet off the floor and studs up, resulting in a boot to our keeper's head. Of course he didn't mean to do it but he did. It is ludicrous anyone thinks otherwise. So do they think Ederson just took himself out of an important game in which he was playing well to get Mane sent off?? He was off anyway, he could have stayed down, got some treatment and carried on. Unbelievable that this is still up for debate.
