For me, he had the right to go for the ball, he missed it and caught our keeper way too high, he rightly got sent off and he got a 3 game ban. I am not sure why such a fucking drama has been made of it.
The fact a Swansea player didn't get sent off for the same thing just highlights that the ref in that game wasn't good enough.
Don't see why they can't vary the rule for two bookings leading to a sending off, given the unjust, disproportionate and direct impact that can have on the next game.

That anyone seriously thought the FA would allow this appeal shows the levels of irrationality that have gripped some of our support. We get a wholly unfair press and we've had a series of highly questionable refereeing decisions against us, this season and last, in particular, but there are limits.
