Slowest ever?

How 'bout big fat Robert Taylor, he of the stunning acceleration in the play-off final to race clear and put Gillingham 2-0 up. When we signed him to aid our promotion push the next season, I think he made his debut at Molineux on a Friday night and we lost 4-1. He had the turning circle of a small frigate and the acceleration of a P plate Micra.

He was so slow, in fact, he'd only make the bench of a Slow XI.

Still love him for his goal against Birmingham the week before the Blackburn promotion match. And I think he scored a stunner away at Forest, too, in the same season.

Jamie Pollock was deceptively slow!!!!!

Oh and I forgot Javi Garcia

Going back over the years it had to be Freddie Hill, well in his late 30`s if not more when we got him, his saving grace was his ball skills meant he could beat the same player over and over at little more than walking pace (That was his full speed).

We have had a few that while they could run faster, their mental speed was so f*cking slow to react they looked worse

Dietmar Hamann when he first joined City. I remember (unfortunately) a dire 0-0 with Sheffield United where he actually looked like he couldn't physically move. Passing ability and technique was still there but he couldn't run. Obviously a class player and time had taken its toll and he did improve slightly over the season but my god was that bad.

Has to be David Brightwell - I know he wasn't a forward but fuck me, it looked like he was running in tar. From Olympic stock as well - shocking!!
Came on to say the exact same thing. I used to look at him and ask why I was working in an office when someone as bad as him had made it as a pro footballer.
I have always said we would have been better off with one of these

has to be Freddie, the tea trolley used to pass him down the wing, never managed to be offside though :)
