Small link with Gourcuff.

seriously Zinaldo or whatever your called do you watch football?

AJ is one of the brightest young talents we've had for a while. If he played for Arsenal, or the dirty rags everyone would be salavating over him.

Quality player, who has just joined THE most scrutinised football club on the planet!!!!! Give the kid a break & let him develop into the player we all hope he will become!!!!

I haven't seen him play except at the World Cup, would he be a potential Milner alternative? I know he's sort of playmaker-ish but could he a do a more mobile box-to-box type role?

From what I've seen of him, he's best when he plays behind a striker so that he can stay forward and have less responsibility to track back so probably not that similar to Milner in that respect. But I've only really watched him in the CL so i dunno if he would play a different position in the league against lesser opponents

-- Sun Aug 01, 2010 7:50 pm --

Proper footballer.

And, what's more, his club's Chairman was on the radio (RMC) last week (heard it with my own ears) saying City are interested.

Big rivalry (and no love) lost between Bordeaux and Lyon.

Lyon said to be keen on buying him. Being rather aggressive about it, too, if you ask me.

But they're skint. And The Bordeaux Chairman basically 'called them out' saying Manchester City are both interested and have the money to do a deal (Lyon haven't).

Not ITK (far from it).

But I know what I heard (not that that makes it true).

"Manchester City don't need distress signals but they do desperately need some creativity in their team, which is why they're zeroing in again on Bordeaux's Yoann Gourcuff. They quite fancied Mesut Ozil but he has decided to turn them and Real Madrid down and instead stay at Werder Bremen before leaving for free next summer. Roque Santa Cruz, meanwhile, is set to leave City, either for Marseille or Olympiakos, while Arsenal want to relieve City of two players that they may have forgotten they have in their swollen ranks: Stephen Ireland and, most of all, Vincent Kompany. Arsène Wenger has also been casting admiring glances at Roma centre-back Philippe Mexès.

No one wants Jô."

If we're after Gourcuff surely we can't still be in for Milner can we?
