Smalling to miss Euro`s !! Have I missed something ??

I wonder if Madrid fans wish Xavi gets injured so Alonso gets a look in.
 
Unfortunately all our centre backs are above average quality now.

Rio, Terry and King are now past it.

Cahill, Lescott, Jones, Smalling are the future, but nothing special at all.

Apart from Hart and Rooney, England is piss poor. It surprises me so many people think they can win stuff

That is hardly the same as wishing an over-rated, out of his depth centre-back gets injured to stop him harming the team by his presence

Jones and Smalling were embarrassed by the Czech Republic's U21 team last summer, not to mention they have both had pretty poor seasons. Neither should be anywhere near the national team

Barry and Richards are English, and they are not piss poor.
If Phil Jones is the future, kill me know. Other than that, I do agree.

It isn't about the relative worth of the players (which I think is fairly obviously incomparable), its about a problem with the national team which is magnified in the media. We all look at the team in divisions according to their clubs, like its a team representing half a dozen different countries with its own little camps.

Julie has had the best season of his career, and if Vinny were not next to him would be having plaudits galore.
