I wondered if there is a bit of kit available that I can use on my Panasonic Viera TV to screen footie etc off the internet. We're just about to get BT Infinity One.
I'm bumping this cos' I just know there are some very intelligent posters out there who would come up with an answer if they knew the question had been asked!

HDMI lead at risk of sounding like a twat?
And a computer.. at an even bigger risk...
my netbook doesn't have a port for an HDMI lead and it's falling apart as well. I was hoping there may be a realistically priced gismo which I could use my new beefy wifi signal with and plug it straight into the TV through its HDMI socket without involving another computer.

I think i have a male to male vga lead.found it by trial and error and as long as i turn the computer on after the tv it picks it up no problem.Hope i havent added myself to the twat list!

I can't help you GH altho I can think of two techno heads who post on here who'll possibly be able to point you in the right direction. Hopefully they'll see this

Thank you all. As you see I am stranger on the wilder shores of the internet - vgas & hdmi leads passeth my understanding really. I will go to Comet confused old person queue and wait my turn.

Fuck that George, youtube your query mate, tutorial videos aplenty which anyone can follow (as long as you can tolerate American accents). You go Comet and they'll see a doddering old **** like you and they'll have your pants down

If you're using a VGA male to male lead (on Amazon for instance http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-Series-HDDB15-Monitor-Replacement/dp/B0000DG4VY) you'll also need something like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/3-5mm-Phono...qid=1374599469&sr=1-8&keywords=3.5mm+to+3.5mm since VGA doesn't carry audio. Check you've got the necessary ports, VGA on the netbook and TV, and a single stereo audio output on the netbook and matching twin RCA Phono Stereo inputs on the TV. There are other cables if you don't have the needed ports.

Ah ha, we have a winner. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Android-Smart-internet-adaptor-Adaptor/dp/B009ERPN2A on Amazon (first one I found for) around £31 incl. delivery.

Edit :- I forgot, you need a USB keyboard/mouse to control it but there is this combo :- http://www.amazon.co.uk/MK808-Andro...A9/dp/B009NNXY1W/ref=pd_bxgy_computers_text_y + http://www.amazon.co.uk/Android-Wir...pe/dp/B009FQZDPC/ref=pd_bxgy_computers_text_y for a total of £46.66

Them small wireless keyboard are not very good I have one I brought with my MK808 the keys are rubber and keep sticking resulting in this wheeeeeeeeeennnn your typing, better of just going in tesco and buying any old cheap wireless keyboard,I just plug a wired mouse in the usb port though .
