*SMOKING IN THE STADIUM*

How did you ever cope before the smoking ban ? Did you go in pubs ? Nanny State made a lot of people marred if you ask me.

We used to hang people for nicking a chunk of bread. Didn't make it right and no one called the reformers who stopped it soft.

the toilets are an enclosed place, and there are a few problems:

1) A load of people smoking in the loos is horrible and the club should provide an open sector for it because it's an awful experience in those loos.

2) The amount of people in the toilets because of it is quite dangerous, say if there was a scrum or a fire issue.

3) In some loos there's queues for the urinals so its not a 2-3 min job in many cases.

Personally I smoke not really in the ground but I kind of understand where your coming from my dad is 63 suffers with fibrosis (spelling) on his lung which is like a small black shadow and has suffered with breathing for a few years now, I refuse to smoke on way to during and after the match simply because I don't want to damage my father anymore then he is, I mean he has to use a breathing aperater when he sleeps for Christ sake I don't want my habbit to finish him off, anyway there has been times when he's gone to the toilet and obv bein 63 takes twice as long haha and has come back coughing pretty badly. Now me I don't give a fuck how it affects me like a said I smoke but when my father is in question then it's different. To solve both issues they should just fence an area off around each exit (to stop people trying to sneak in) and let people out at half time for a cig.

I'm with uptheblues on this one. Being just short of 66 years old I do have a little difficulty in breathing at times, probably a throw back to my youth when I did smoke. I sit in 121 and use the toilets nearest to there when I have to, at my age I have to have a pee, when I have to, no choice I'm afraid. Those toilets are absolutely dreadful with the smoke so thick at times that one of my sons has had to come to my assistance once to get me out of there as I had a serious coughing fit. It is very sad the way you all abuse each other on such a serious health problem and I have no intention of falling out with anyone on this site. I will be contacting Manchester Corporation regarding this, as uptheblues suggests, and as those people who know me will testify I do not leave any problem I encounter until it has been correctly dealt with. By all means form a smoking area if possible but as far away as possible from those of us who would like to live a little longer and witness all the success that is coming our way.

On the smoking subject. My mate lent his ticket out to a mate of a mate and the lad got chucked out for smoking and got the season card took off him and he will now have a 3 game ban. M mate is fuming as we all would be and wrote to head of security. I cant see it working though. I have heard a similar story on here before. What happened to other victims?

This is fucking pathetic, there are toilets all the way down the east stand, if you dont like the smell of smock that much choose to go in one further down from 110.(not a smoker, but deffinatly got more comon sence)
