Just my opinion, and I know as little or as much as everybody on here. Sneijder will not go to the Rags.
My logic is that they do seem to have a policy of not buying players of a certain age, of course Berbaflop wasn't the youngest but in this case there is a player who it could be argued is not at the peak of his career, a player for which they would seemingly have to break with their wages structure and as such wouldn't represent value in the market . The media do seem to be falling over themselves to get him to sign for them but in the world of complicated images rights, wages structure, career path , family & personal considerations to be taken into account I dont think that will influence his decision where he goes, that or a few sad rags posting on his twitter account to join them.
I personally trust in what THD has posted and Damocles. I would rather trust their opinions than those of a biased media with an agenda. These things are though never straightforward with lots of games being played behind the scenes to which we are not privy to. He may or may not join us, but I seriously doubt he will go over the road, at his age, for the price bandied about and on the salary he would no doubt command. I don't believe they can or would do it.
For me, the key to all this is Tevez, and we have the key.
